Learning objectives:
At the end of the presentation, participants should be able to:
- Describe the pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of sickle cell disease,
- Summarize the progress made in the management of sickle cell disease,
- Reflect on the disparities in disease outcomes around the world, and
- Describe efforts being made bridge the implementation gaps in combating sickle cell disease.
