September is TOAI month at UHN as we prepare for go-live of I-PASS as the official, evidence-based tool used across all disciplines to transfer information and improve patient safety. All staff MDs at UHN are required to attend a divisional rounds or view the presentation online themselves, and attest that they have done so –this will likely apply to anyone with privileges at UHN including those whose primary appointment is at SHS or elsewhere. It is also important for our learners to be familiar and comfortable with this tool. Of course improving patient safety is important to all of us, wherever we may practice.
