Dr Morven Cunningham obtained a MA from the University of Cambridge before undertaking her medical degree at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK. She completed postgraduate training in General Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology in London and undertook a PhD at Queen Mary, University of London, studying factors influencing treatment response in chronic hepatitis C infection. Dr. Cunningham moved to Toronto in 2017 to complete a Fellowship in Hepatology at University Of Toronto, before taking up a position as a Clinician Teacher and Staff Hepatologist at the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease.
Current research interests include hepatotoxicity of novel immunotherapy cancer treatments. She is also interested in improving patients' understanding of liver disease in the education and mentoring of the next generation of Hepatologists.
