Clinical immunology and allergy is a specialty of renewed interest and untapped potential. The past 10 years has seen our division grow to accommodate new educational programs and research initiatives. We have and continue to enhance knowledge and understanding in the pathophysiology and treatment of anaphylaxis, urticaria, angioedema, immunodeficiency, and the newly developed rapid drug desensitization programs. We have studied and identified new allergens and mechanisms for these diseases. We have developed novel treatment modalities.
Our teaching and educational programs continue to grow with expanded participation and collaborative efforts with different specialties. We would invite all to explore our activities during this exciting time when we are expanding the field of clinical immunology and allergy.
