Dr. Rodrigo Cavalcanti
Program Director, Internal Medicine Training Program
Dr. Rodrigo Cavalcanti is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Clinician Educator in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto and an internist at the University Health Network. He currently serves as the Director of the Ho Ping Kong Centre for Excellence in Education and Practice at Toronto Western Hospital. Dr. Cavalcanti obtained his M.D. and a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto, where he also did his residency in Internal Medicine. He has a national and international reputation in medical education research and scholarship and has received numerous local, national and international awards for teaching, research and mentorship. He also serves as a member of a number of committees at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, including Chair of the National CBD Benchmarking Working Group.
