Description:

St. Michael’s Hospital is a fully affiliated core teaching hospital of the University of Toronto and is an OMED/WGO world centre for excellence in gastroenterology. The Division of Gastroenterology is offering a clinical/research fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease. The interested candidate will have completed a gastroenterology residency/fellowship and have an interest in an additional year of specialty training. The fellowship is supervised by Dr. Samir C. Grover and Dr. Jeffrey P. Baker.

Scope of training:

  • All areas pertaining to the diagnosis and treatment of inpatients and outpatients with inflammatory bowel disease, with a focus on endoscopy as it pertains to the IBD patient, including standardized rubrics for endoscopic assessment of the IBD patient, endoscopic management of Crohn’s disease strictures and chromoendoscopy.
  • Clinical research in inflammatory bowel disease causation, epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, management or outcomes. The successful trainee will be attached to a project of interest in the Division of Gastroenterology
