Afshan Zahedi

After completing a degree in Biomedical Engineering in Ohio, USA, Dr. Zahedi graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine and completed Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Currently, Dr. Zahedi is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Medical Director of the Thyroid Program at Women’s College Hospital and a staff Endocrinologist at Scarborough Health Network. Dr. Zahedi is a member of the Diabetes Canada – Clinical Practice Guidelines, and her research interests includes: Thyroid cancer and thyroid disease in pregnancy, diabetes management in elderly and knowledge translation and educational interventions.
