Dr. Alyssa Louis is an Intensivist and Clinician Teacher at the Toronto Western Hospital. She completed her undergraduate studies at McGill university in Honours Physiology, followed by medical school at Queen’s University. She completed her post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Critical Care at the University of Toronto, including a year as Chief Medical Resident at Mount Sinai Hospital. She has completed a Masters in Medical Education through the University of Dundee. Her academic work focuses on curriculum development and simulation based medical education or resuscitation and procedural skills. She is passionate about teaching learners from diverse training backgrounds how to resuscitate acutely deteriorating patients.
