Raymond Kim

Raymond Kim received his MD/PhD degree from the University of Toronto with Tak W Mak at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine, he finished a clinical fellowship in Medical Genetics at the Hospital for Sick Children. His fellowship focused on genomic sequencing in rare diseases with Stephen Scherer.

He has an appointment at University Health Network and Mount Sinai Hospital as a medical geneticist focused on the care of hereditary cancers including hereditary breast ovarian cancer, neurofibromatoses, Von Hippel Lindau disease and Tuberous sclerosis complex. He established the first adult Li-Fraumeni syndrome surveillance clinic, and follows a number of other rare diseases. He also has an appointment at the Hospital for Sick Children Division of Clinical and Metabolic Genetics with a special interest in the transition of care from pediatric to adult medicine. His research focuses on the integration of novel genomic technologies into clinical care.
