Dr. Shannon MacDonald
Focus of research: Health Services Research, Stroke Rehabilitation
Dr. MacDonald is a Clinician-Investigator at the University of Toronto and active staff at Bridgepoint Active Healthcare. She is interested in examining potential disparities in the access to, delivery, and outcomes of rehabilitative care using administrative data. In addition, Dr. MacDonald is a Qualified Investigator at Bridgepoint Active Healthcare for select clinical trials run through the CanStroke Recovery Trials Platform.
She provides stroke and neuro-rehabilitation care in the inpatient and outpatient setting, chairs committees for the Toronto Stroke Networks, and serves as a Stroke Distinction Surveyor with Accreditation Canada.
