Dr. Shazmeen Manji obtained her medical degree at McMaster University, where she also completed her Internal Medicine residency, before pursuing subspecialty training in Respirology at the University of Toronto. She is a staff adult respirologist and clinician-educator at St. Michael’s Hospital and a faculty member in the Division of Respirology at the University of Toronto. Her clinical and academic interests focus on complex airway diseases, including Cystic Fibrosis, Non-CF Bronchiectasis, Nontuberculous Mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease and Tuberculosis (TB). She serves as the Medical Director of the Adult Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital. In parallel with her clinical work, she is actively engaged in medical and patient education, with a particular interest in the development and evaluation of digital and social-media–based educational initiatives to enhance learning and patient engagement.
