Sheliza Halani

I completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering with Biomedical Option at the University of British Columbia, followed the MD program at the University of Toronto. I pursued postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Toronto as well as an additional year as the Chief Medical Resident at Women’s College Hospital. I completed a Master of Medical Education from the University of Dundee, Scotland and a CIHR Pan-Canadian Network for HIV & STBBI Clinical Trials Research (CTN+) Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship, focusing on educational barriers and facilitators to providers counseling and prescribing HIV PrEP to women. My education interests are focused on teaching about HIV and STI prevention and treatment.
