Taryn Lloyd

I am an Emergency Medicine physician practicing at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, ON. I also work with the Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Team at St. Michael's Hospital. My professional goal is to optimize health care for patients who use drugs while they are in the emergency department by decreasing provider and patient barriers to providing and receiving high-quality, timely, safe and efficient evidence-based medical care. People who use drugs face innumerable barriers and stigmatization that lead to inequitable and poor health outcomes. By working to reduce barriers, I hope to provide consistent, equitable medical care and improve the health of this population.
