Tasnim (Taz) Vira is a Clinician Teacher and a Clinical Cardiologist.  She has Advanced Imaging training including TEE and 3D TEE as well as CT and cardiac MRI.  She has a special interest in and expertise in Interventional Echocardiography including pre-procedural imaging/planning and intra-procedural echocardiographic guidance for Structural Interventional procedures.  Particularly, she has an interest in valvular interventions (TEER, TTVR, TMVR) but also other Structural Cardiac Interventions performed in the Cath Lab.

She has been invited to speak at various local, national and international Echo conferences.  She has a passion for teaching at various levels and completed training in the Master Teacher program at the University of Toronto.  She has been involved in teaching at various levels at the University of Toronto particularly in Echocardiography and Interventional Echocardiography at the Echo fellowship level at the University of Toronto. She has also been involved in various international volunteer educational missions throughout her career including in teaching fellows and staff physicians in Guyana, Tanzania and India.
