Dr. Tehmina Ahmad is an Academic Endocrinologist at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network, with clinical and academic interests in transgender health, women’s health, medical education, and health equity. She is passionate about advancing patient-centred care through advocacy, education, and research, particularly for underserved and equity-deserving populations.

She completed her undergraduate and medical education at Western University, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology & Metabolism at the University of Toronto. She subsequently completed a Master of Science in Community Health through the Health Practitioner Teacher Education stream at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, alongside a fellowship in Women’s Health and Reproductive Medicine at Women’s College Hospital.

Through her clinical work, teaching, and research, Dr. Ahmad is dedicated to building a more inclusive healthcare system and improving access to high-quality, affirming care. She continues to publish and present on topics related to transgender health, equity, diversity, and medical education.
