Before starting on faculty, TJ completed medical school at Queen's University, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Clinician Investigator training at the University of Toronto, and an Advanced Fellowship in Luminal Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Calgary. His clinical interests include complex polyp resection, deep bowel enteroscopy, and management of Barrett’s dysplasia. His academic interests include how we assess endoscopic trainees for competence and entrustment, and how programs of assessments can be used to improve endoscopist performance and ultimately, patient outcomes.
