Fellows have the opportunity to participate in a clinical research fellowship in drug development at the Division of Medical Oncology at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
This fellowship involves active participation in the planning, coordination and implementation of the development of selected protocols mounted by the Drug Development Program at Princess Margaret. Work included writing protocols and letters of intent; analyzing trial data; presenting results at local, national and international meetings/conferences; and preparing final peer-reviewed manuscripts for publication.
Fellows will be put on the clinical trial patient roster for about one day per week, when they will see patients actively participating in trials run by the Drug Development Program. Work with patients may include such tasks as routine physical examination and addressing urgent issues.
Candidates must have completed subspecialty training in Internal Medicine and/or Medical Oncology or Hematology, and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
