Session Overview:
*Mothers who are also physicians face unique challenges to thriving. Burnout is the norm. Work-life balance/integration remains elusive. This experiential workshop aims to share a simple yet powerful framework for those seeking meaningful work-life integration from the lens of a former burnt-out mother-doctor, now life coach. This event is open to all faculty and medical trainees.
*can refer to anyone who identifies with a primary caregiving role
Objectives:
- Explore the allure of "having it all" (and how that gets in the way of your dream work-life integration)
- Share a clear framework to decide what stays, what goes, and how this approach will unlock your most powerful life success yet...
Facilitator:
Dr. Dawn Lim (she/her) is a staff emergency physician and assistant professor at the University Health Network. She is a photo essayist and life coach particularly interested in changing the culture of shame in motherhood and medicine. She uses the power of stories to work with doctors and teams facing burnout.
