Talk: “An Overview of AI in Medical Education”
This talk will examine the role of artificial intelligence in medical education, with a focus on applied clinical training. We will review AI tools that support both learners and teachers, and discuss potential risks, limitations, and key considerations for responsible use in educational settings.
Facilitator Bios:
Michael is a clinician scientist in general internal medicine. He completed medical school at Northwestern University before returning to the University of Toronto for his internal medicine residency and PhD in clinical epidemiology. His research focuses on improving care processes and patient outcomes within general medicine, including the equitable development and deployment of clinical AI tools.
