Afsaneh Alavi

Dr. Alavi is a board-certified dermatologist in Canada, receiving her Dermatology Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She also completed additional two years subspecialty training with a Fellowship in Wound Healing at the University of Toronto. She has experience in cosmetic dermatology including Botox, fillers and laser procedures. She is currently on staff at both Women's College Hospital and Trillium Hospital. Dr. Alavi is a published author with articles featured in peer-reviewed medical journals and co-authored more than 10 book chapters.

She has received prestigious awards on teaching, research from University of Toronto and the women dermatology mentorship award from American Academy of Dermatology. She is a board director's member of the Canadian Association of Wound Care. Dr. Alavi actively worked for the development of the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course (IIWCC) for the Middle East through the collaboration of the University of Toronto as faculty and International co-director and coordinator for International Interdisciplinary wound care course in Iran (2007), Saudi Arabia (2008) and Abu-Dhabi (2012).
