Alon Vaisman

Alon's primary role at UHN is as an Infection Prevention and Control physician and Hospital Epidemiologist. He obtained specialized postgraduate training with a Master’s of Advanced Clinical Research from the University of California at San Francisco, funded through the Eliot Phillipson Scholarship at the University of Toronto. He has published and presented at conference on multiple topics within Infectious Diseases using a variety of study designs including case-control, cohort, cost-effectiveness, and factor analysis. Outside of infection prevention and control, his other areas of interest include beta-lactam allergy and perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis.
