Andrew Advani

Dr. Andrew Advani is Head of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at St. Michael's Hospital. He is a Full Professor in the Department of Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto and he holds the Keenan Chair in Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital and University of Toronto. Dr. Advani heads a research program focused on improving the lives of people with diabetes now and in the future (advanilab.com). This program extends all the way from studies in single cells through to patient and family engagement. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and three book chapters. He holds one patent and one official mark. Clinically, Dr. Advani has a focus on providing care to those living with Type 1 diabetes.
