Campbell Joyner
Dr. Campbell Duncan Joyner, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Joyner graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1976. He practiced as a General Internist from 1980-1982 and then completed his Cardiology Subspecialty Training in Toronto and a Research Fellowship in Echocardiography at the Toronto Hospital.
He has been a member of the Division of Cardiology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre since 1984 and is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. He has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education as well as continuing medical education. He completed the Master Teacher Program in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto in 2004.
He is Medical Director of the Schulich Heart Program Non-Invasive Laboratory at Sunnybrook.
His research interests include assessment of left ventricular mass following aortic valve replacement and in patients with hypertension. He has chaired the Adjudication Committees for a number of large randomized clinical trials coordinated from the Population Health Research Institute at McMaster University- OASIS-2, CURE, OASIS-5, OASIS-6, and ACTIVE.
