Jane Zhang

Dr. Jian Zhang is an endocrinologist with a particular interest in osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorders. She is a member of the American Society for Bone Mineral Research (ASBMR) and holds a certification of clinical densitometry with the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). After obtaining her undergraduate degree in piano performance at the University of Toronto, Dr. Zhang moved to the U.S. to complete her medical degree at Wayne State University. She then completed her internal medicine residency at the University of California San Diego and endocrinology fellowship at Stanford University. Dr. Zhang moved back to Canada to join the Osteoporosis Program at the UHN Schroeder Arthritis Institute in 2024. She is actively involved in clinical care and research in osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorders. In addition, Dr. Zhang is passionate about medical education. She is currently obtaining a Master of Health Professions Education degree at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She regularly conducts teaching to postgraduate medical trainees in the osteoporosis clinic.
