Dr. Jason Liang is an academic physiatrist and Assistant Professor in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto. He obtained a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of British Columbia and received his medical degree (MD) from the University of Toronto in 2016. He completed his residency training at the University of Toronto and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2021 in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He completed his Masters of Education (concentration in Health Professions Education) at the University of Ottawa in December 2023.

Dr. Liang has a diverse clinical practice and works as a consulting physiatrist at University Health Network (UHN) – Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (TRI). He spends a large portion of his time within the inpatient and outpatient neurorehabilitation programs with clinical interests in traumatic and acquired brain injury including concussion, stroke and spasticity management. His current professional affiliations include the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Canadian Medical Protective Association, Ontario Medical Association and Canadian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is currently the Physician Lead for Medical Education at TRI.
