I am a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist with a deep commitment to medical education and the training of future healthcare professionals. My career has been shaped by extensive international training and clinical experience across Asia, Australia, and North America, with a central focus on advancing cardiovascular care through clinical practice, research, and medical education.

I completed my cardiology training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, one of India’s premier medical institutions, where I was honored with the Gold Medal in Cardiology for outstanding academic performance. My postgraduate training has included fellowships at several internationally recognized centers. I pursued specialized training in coronary intravascular imaging in Seoul, South Korea, followed by advanced clinical cardiac electrophysiology training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia. I subsequently continued my subspecialty training in Canada at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto, and the Halifax Infirmary, where I gained extensive experience in complex arrhythmia management, catheter ablation, and cardiac device therapy.

My clinical and research interests focus on cardiac electrophysiology, particularly atrial fibrillation, inflammatory cardiomyopathies such as cardiac sarcoidosis, and remote monitoring of cardiac implantable electronic devices. My research work has contributed to improving our understanding of arrhythmia mechanisms in sarcoidosis, and device-based monitoring strategies. I am also particularly interested in interesting clinical cases and intracardiac electrograms that illustrate important electrophysiological concepts and enhance teaching and learning in cardiac electrophysiology. In addition to my clinical and research activities, I have maintained a strong commitment to medical education. Throughout my career, I have actively taught residents, fellows, and medical students, and have delivered faculty lectures at national and international cardiology conferences. My teaching has focused on electrocardiography, arrhythmia mechanisms, device therapy, and heart failure management. I aim to create learning environments that encourage critical thinking, experiential learning, and evidence-based clinical decision-making.

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Adult Education (Health) at St. Francis Xavier University. This training reflects my commitment to advancing scholarship in health professions education and improving the ways in which cardiovascular knowledge is taught and translated into clinical practice. My academic interests increasingly focus on integrating clinical expertise with educational research, particularly in areas such as health literacy, prevention, and equitable access to cardiovascular care.
Through my work as a clinician, researcher, and educator, I hope to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine while supporting the development of the next generation of physicians and healthcare professionals.
