Laura Rodger

Dr. Laura Rodger is a General Internalist and Clinician in Quality and Innovation based at University Health Network (Toronto Western Hospital). Dr. Rodger completed her medical school and core internal medicine residency at Western University, and subspecialty training in General Internal Medicine at University of Toronto. During her training, she developed clinical skills in Addiction Medicine. She also completed an MSc in Health Systems Research (Outcomes & Evaluation) at the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. 

Her research and academic interests focus on improving clinical care pathways and programming for patients who use substances and underserved populations more broadly. She also has an interest in understanding the social determinants of health and their intersection with GIM. Clinically, she is committed to continuing to develop collective capacity for both trainees and faculty in managing substance use. In addition to her work in GIM, she works on the Substance Use Intervention Team (SUIT) at UHN and as an Addiction Physician at St. Michael's Hospital through the Department of Psychiatry.
