Lorraine Lipscombe

Dr. Lipscombe's research program focuses on the epidemiology and health services for diabetes, with a particular focus on the risk and consequences of diabetes in women. As a senior adjunct scientist at ICES, she has extensive experience with healthcare database research. She is also leading a ClHR-funded research program evaluating a type 2 diabetes prevention program for women who have had gestational diabetes. Dr. Lipscombe is the executive director of the Novo Nordisk Netuork for Healthy Populations, a U of T research network aimed at reducing the burden and risk of type 2 diabetes.
