Nazanin Fallah-Rad
Dr. Nazanin Fallah-Rad completed her Bachelor of Science and Undergraduate Medical Education at the University of Manitoba. In conjunction with her medical degree she completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Medicine (B.Sc. Med.) diploma with research interest in early detection of Herceptin induced cardiotoxicity in breast cancer patients. For this research she was the recipient of the Merck Frosst Scholarship, Nicholson prize, and Millennium Student Success Grant.
She further completed Internal Medicine residency at Queen's University followed by Medical Oncology residency at the University of Toronto. This was followed by a 2 year clinical fellowship specializing in Genitourinary (GU) and Gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies at Princess Margaret Cancer center where she demonstrated excellence in patient care and was nominated for the Gerald Kirsch Humanitarian Award.
Teaching has been a passion for Dr. Fallah-Rad throughout her training with extension to undergraduate trainees, residents, fellows, allied health, and community petitioners. Currently she is completing a Master of Education in Health Professions at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) in University of Toronto. Her areas of academic and clinical interest are in medical education, genitourinary malignancies, and breast cancer.
