Shabbir Alibhai

Biosketch – Shabbir M.H. Alibhai

Dr. Shabbir Alibhai is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. He is a staff physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at the University Health Network, an affiliate scientist at the Toronto General Research Institute, and Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and a Research Scientist of the National Cancer Institute of Canada. His research interests are in geriatric oncology, particularly in age discrimination, the impact of disease and treatment on quality of life among patients with prostate cancer or acute myeloid leukaemia, and optimal treatment of cancer in older adults.
