Sita Bhella
Dr. Bhella received her Doctor of Medicine in 2008 from the University of Western Ontario and her Masters of Education (Health Professional Educational Stream) from the University of Toronto in 2015. She completed her internal medicine and hematology residencies at the University of Toronto. Dr. Bhella is well known in the halls of Princess Margaret, as she completed her Clinical Research Fellowship here between 2013-2015. Dr. Bhella returns to Princess Margaret after many years at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre, where she served as the Medical Director for the Adult Hematopoietic Stem Cell Unit. In Kingston, Dr. Bhella was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Queen’s University. Her interests include health care delivery, quality improvement, and medical education. She has completed additional training in quality improvement through the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the Excellence in Quality Improvement Certificate Program through the University of Toronto, the ASPIRE program through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the IDEAS Foundations Program through Health Quality Ontario.
Dr. Bhella is appointed as a Clinician in Quality and Innovation and, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Bhella will be working in the Lymphoma, Myeloma and Transplant Program and will be serving as the Autologous Transplant Clinical Quality Lead. Dr. Bhella officially joined our Division, as Faculty, on October 01, 2019.
