Navigating funding opportunities for Quality and Innovation (Q&I) can be challenging. Outside of usual research-focused funders such as CIHR, some funders listed below have funded quality-related work. The digital health space is also seeing increased funding opportunities for those working in health technology or artificial intelligence. University of Toronto faculty have access to annual or biennial funding opportunities locally via the Academic Health Sciences Center (AHSC) Alternate Funding Plan (AFP) Innovation Fund. Look for Innovation Funding announcements from site-specific Departments of Medicine. Finally, some professional societies offer seed funding for quality or research activities that may interest faculty members.
