Adrian Brown, appointed Clinical Faculty Advocate Alternate (CFa)
The Clinical Faculty Advocate or Alternate provide advice and support to a full or part time clinical faculty member of the University of Toronto. The clinical faculty member may have a problem with either an academic dispute involving a University of Toronto administrator or with a breach of academic freedom in the clinical setting, or with an alleged breach of the Policy for Clinical Faculty.

Simron Singh, 2021 Clinical Program and Quality Initiatives Achievement Award in the category of ‘Clinical Leadership’.  Cancer Care Ontario-Ontario Health. 
Recognizes a Clinical Lead who demonstrated excellent leadership and commitment within the last year within Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario). The award recognizes Simron’s many achievements in the role of Provincial Head, Person-Centred Care, particularly his efforts through the pandemic developing the virtual cancer care clinical guidance and leading the provider wellbeing and burnout strategy. 

Raymond Kim, Newly appointed as Provincial Head of the Provincial Genetics Program. Cancer Care Ontario-Ontario Health.
Dr. Kim is a well-respected and highly engaged leader in the field of medical genetics in Ontario, known for his passionate advocacy for patients and families, genetic counsellors and the entire team of providers caring for this important patient population.  He is a graduate of the MD/PhD Program at the University of Toronto and is uniquely trained in both internal medicine and medical genetics.  As a Clinician-Scientist, he has held multiple clinical, scientific and health leadership roles.  
As Provincial Head of the Provincial Genetics Program, Dr. Kim will provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Provincial Genetics Program (PGP) access and quality improvement initiatives.

Margolese National Brain Disorders Prize, Office of Research, Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia (2021) recognizes Canadians who have made outstanding contributions to treatment, amelioration or cure of brain disorders.

Anthony Lang, 2022 Jay Van Andel Award for Outstanding Achievement in Parkinson's Disease Research. Van Andel Institute
This award is given annually to a person who has made outstanding contributions in Parkinson's disease research. This year it has been awarded to Dr. Lang for conducting truly translational research, promoting the testing of experimental therapeutics and developing novel tools to rigorously evaluate their effects in patients.

Manav Vyas, International Scholarship to the Annual Meeting. American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
The International Scholarship is a prestigious award given to early career neurologists and neurology trainees outside the U.S. to attend the AAN Annual Meeting. Awardees will be selected based on their achievements and commitment to improving neurologic care and/or advancing neurologic research in their home countries.

Lihi Eder, Canada Research Chair (Tier 2).  Government of Canada
Dr. Eder has been honoured with a Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Inflammatory Rheumatic Diseases (2021-2026).
The Canada Research Chair program promotes research and development excellence in Canadian research universities, aiming to improve Canada's depth of knowledge and quality of life, strengthen the country's international competitiveness, and train personnel through student supervision, teaching, research work. Lihi is a stellar example of the scientists that this national program seeks to support.

Rachel Shupak, Master of the Canadian Rheumatology Association 2022.  Canadian Rheumatology Association.
Dr. Shupak has been chosen as one of 3 of this year’s CRA Masters.
Recognizing her exemplary clinical acumen and patient centered approach to rheumatology. This well-deserved award will be formally presented at the upcoming CRA meeting.

Jessica Widdifield, Emerging Investigator Award for the Canadian Rheumatology Association 2022. Canadian Rheumatology Association
Dr. Widdifield is a scientist based in the Evaluative Clinical Sciences program at the Holland Bone and Joint Research Program, Sunnybrook Research Institute.
Jessica has been a rising star in the research field since completing her PhD in 2013.  She is a definite friend to rheumatology, given her strong research focus on RA and more recently, COVID impact on our patients.
