Elements CV Update

The Elements CV can now be used, with some caveats. Here are details:

  1. For faculty who have not previously used WebCV, you may now start using Elements to create your academic CV.
    1. Log in here using your UTORid;
    2. Lots of supporting information is available here;
    3. You may also provide access to a delegate (e.g administrative assistant);
    4. To generate a CV report, make sure to select “TFoM CV,” NOT “Academic CV (custom)”;
    5. Other reports are not yet available, although the CPA report will be released shortly.
  2. For faculty who have been using WebCV, you may now start using Elements using the same processes as described above. However:
    1. The data transfer from WebCV to Elements has resulted in records that are incomplete, inaccurate, or missing. Examples include: (1) invited presentations missing; (2) grant data is only assigned to principal investigators and hospital-held data currently only covers up to March 31, 2024;
    2. Although a CPA report will be available soon, the linkages that previously existed for CPA activities will need to be recreated;
    3. All of this means that significant editing will be required. We are waiting to hear what supports will be available to assist with this workload;
    4. In the interim, if you do not have a lot of data to edit (e.g. earlier career faculty with fewer entries), you may wish to go ahead and do this yourself and start using Elements;
    5. If you have a lot of data to edit and do not anticipate needing to generate custom reports such as those needed for promotion (e.g. later career faculty), you may opt to simply use a Word version of your CV and some standard reports (e.g. annual activity report) rather than spend the time required to curate your Elements profile;
    6. The Elements team will be providing individualized data editing/curation support to those going through CFAR and promotions in the year following the closure of WebCV (see below);
    7. WebCV will be available until March 31, 2026; before this date, we suggest downloading final versions of your WebCV and any associated reports in case you need these as a reference.
  3. For faculty who are going through (1) CFAR in the fall of 2025 or spring of 2026 or (2) promotions in 2026 or 2027, where final documents are uploaded before March 31, 2026, you may continue to use WebCV. Faculty who are going through CFAR or promotions immediately after this (i.e. CFAR fall 2026 and promotions 2028) will use Elements and will be prioritized for data entry support from the Elements team.
  4. As you try out your Elements profile, if you have feedback, please provide this to the Elements team via this link.
