The Continuing Faculty Appointment Review (CFAR) follows hospital and divisional deadlines in advance of the final submission deadline to the Department of Medicine. All CFAR candidates must schedule a one-on-one meeting with their departmental division director and physician-in-chief to discuss their progress to date. These meetings are mandatory and are used by the department division directors and physicians-in-chief to produce their reviews of the candidate's progress. Individual department division directors and physicians-in-chief may request a draft of a CFAR candidate's documentation prior to this meeting.
Spring 2026 Deadlines
The deadline for final submission of all documents to the Department Division Director is December 15th, 2025.
The deadline for final submission of all documents to the Department of Medicine is February 20th, 2026.
Fall 2026 Deadlines
The deadline for final submission of all documents to the Department Division Director is June 12th, 2026.
The deadline for final submission of all documents to the Department of Medicine is August 7th, 2026.
