Learning objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of sickle cell disease,
  2. Summarize the progress made in the management of sickle cell disease,
  3. Reflect on the disparities in disease outcomes around the world, and
  4. Describe efforts being made bridge the implementation gaps in combating sickle cell disease.
