Barrie Rose Research Day in Palliative Medicine

After a 2-year pause due to COVID-19, the Barrie Rose Research Day in Palliative Medicine 2022 was held on June 20th at the Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto.

This extremely successful event was accented by keynote speaker Dr. Bob Arnold of the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Arnold encouraged participants to challenge conventions within palliative medicine related to Advance Care Planning, leading to high engagement and rich discussion. Eleven oral presentations and 48 poster presentations provided an overview of the important and exciting research underway in palliative medicine at UofT.

We would like to congratulate the following abstract award winners:

  • John Lapp for Best Oral Presentation by a Medical Student or Resident
  • Nicolas Chin-Yee for Best Oral Presentation by a Graduate Student, Postdoctoral Researcher, or Clinical Associate
  • Lilian Robinson for Best Poster by a Trainee

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Rose family and to everyone who contributed to making this event a great success by highlighting their research.
