Topic: Is Synaptic Pathology the Prodrome of Progressive Multiple Sclerosis?

Learning Objectives:

  1. The audience will become familiar with the neuropathology of progressive MS and evidence for early synaptic dysfunction both in MS and the animal model EAE.
  2. The audience will become familiar with MRI, OCT and PET imaging evidence for synaptic dysfunction in MS.
  3. The audience will learn about mechanisms of synaptic pruning and strategies to limit this process
