CANCELLED: Hub Session: Are you thinking about ‘value for money’ of your research?

Please note this session has been cancelled.

Given the limited resources we are faced with in health care, the ability to apply economic thinking when making a choice or a decision can be beneficial. This talk will introduce economic evaluation, its potential role in research, when to consider to this technique, and a practical example of how economic evaluation has been used to demonstrate value for money. The goal of economic evaluation is to provide another piece of evidence to assist researchers, health providers, decision-makers, and policy-makers in their decision-making process. If you are thinking about “value for money” of your work/research, economic evaluation could be a technique to consider.
