Learning Objectives:
At the end of the presentation, participants should be able to:
- summarize the epidemiology and prevalence, pathophysiology, and genetic component of overweight and obesity in the adult population;
- relate chronic disease risk factors in the adult population to the presence of overweight and obesity; and
- recognize the persistence of chronic disease risk factors and weight bias present in childhood and adolescence into adulthood
