Exciting Opportunity: Behavioural Neurology Position at University of Toronto and Baycrest
The Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine at Baycrest Health Sciences and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, are seeking to recruit a qualified full-time behavioural/cognitive neurologist with an academic position description of Academic Clinician. This will involve devoting 85- 90% of their time on clinical care and 10-15% on scholarly activities. The scope of clinical activities will include Baycrest’s novel Virtual Behavioural Medicine Program (VBM), which focuses on the virtual assessment and management of individuals with dementia and neuropsychiatric symptoms such as physical aggression, agitation and psychosis, as well the world class Sam and Ida Ross Memory Clinic. VBM is a game changer in the assessment and management of neuropsychiatric symptoms in dementia and the successful candidate will play a major role in this innovative program.
The successful candidate must be eligible for a Full-Time Clinical Academic appointment at the rank of at least Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. The effective start date of the appointments is July 1, 2024 or a mutually agreeable date.
