Description:

Planning for a transition in mid to later career is crucial for clinical faculty. Reaching late career without planning for the transition can be stressful. Through this workshop, participants will identify challenges in late career transitions and develop a personal transition plan. This workshop also offers participants the chance to reflect on their personal thoughts and feelings about later career transitions.

Facilitator Bio:

Dr. Robert Madan attended medical school at the University of Western Ontario and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto. He holds the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada designation of Geriatric Psychiatrist and is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Madan completed the Education Scholars Program at the Centre for Faculty Development and has extensive experience in medical education and hospital administration. He has coached many physicians at various stages of their careers.
