Topic: The History, and Mystery, of Higher Cortical Visual Disorders

Learning Objectives:
1. Gain familiarity with the neuroscientific understanding of higher visual processing.
2. Gain familiarity with the diagnosis and localization of disorders of visual processing.
3. Gain familiarity with the management of disorders of visual processing.

This lecture will review important neurological disorders of higher visual processing.  In these patients, routine evaluations of visual function may not readily yield a diagnosis; it is important to recognize when to conduct a refined examination of visual functions in order to correctly localize and identify the problem.
