Christopher Cheung MD MPH FRCPC is a full-time Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of California San Francisco. He completed his medical training and clinician investigator program at the University of British Columbia, Masters of Public Health at Harvard University, and advanced Cardiac Electrophysiology training at the University of California San Francisco. He is dual-board certified in Canada and the United States (FRCPC, ABIM).

Christopher's research interests include arrhythmia monitoring and management, with specific interests in atrial fibrillation including the use of wearables and digital health tools to improve care. He completed a Clinical Informatics and Data Science Certificate at the University of California San Francisco and is interested in research projects relating to artificial intelligence and machine learning. His research has been recognized by the American College of Cardiology Young Investigator Award, and he has received funding from the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society George Mines Travelling Scholarship and University of British Columbia Friedman Award for Scholars in Health.

Christopher serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society, Education Council for the Heart Rhythm Society, and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society Emerging Leaders Persistent Atrial Fibrillation Think Tank. He previously served as the Trainee Committee Chair of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society.
