Ciaran Scallan

Dr. Scallan completed his internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University where he also served as chief medical resident followed by a respirology residency at McMaster University. He subsequently completed fellowships in Interstitial Lung Disease at McMaster University and the University of Washington, and a clinical fellowship in Lung Transplantation at University Health Network (UHN). Dr. Scallan has a particular interest in the development and enhancement of satellite care models in lung transplantation. Better understanding determinants of access to transplant care and enhancing regional delivery of transplant expertise are key elements to improving outcomes in and access to lung nsplantation. He developed a successful satellite program at McMaster University and plans to continue developing a framework for expansion of satellite care.
