Jalal Ebrahim

I am a palliative care physician at Toronto Western Hospital and an Assistant Professor with the University of Toronto, Division of Palliative Medicine, Department of Medicine. I also serve as the Education Site Co-Lead at Toronto Western Hospital. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I teach around Ethics, Palliative Care, as well as Serious Illness Communication strategies at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and practicing clinician level. I provide bedside and didactic teaching to medical students and residents from various disciplines. I have a strong interest in teaching around serious illness communication skills, and have been invited to support the development of multiple advanced communication teaching modules. I am also regularly invited to speak and teach at a local, regional, and national level around the topic of serious illness communication skills.
