Mala Bahl

Mala Bahl, MD, MSc, FRCPC.-BIO

Dr. Mala Bahl is a medical oncologist at the Carlo Fidani Cancer Centre at Trillium Health Partners specializing in the treatment of breast and gastrointestinal cancer She has a special interest in hereditary cancers and clinical trials.

A graduate of the six-year undergraduate-medical program of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, she studied internal medicine at Georgetown University and then completed her oncology training at the University of Toronto, Princess Margaret Hospital. This was followed by a breast cancer fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital with a focus on the impact of genetics and lifestyle on cancer outcome. She also completed a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto.

Dr Bahl is the medical oncology lead for both clinical trials and clinical genetics at Trillium Health Partners, and she participates in the Provincial Gastrointestinal Disease Site group.
