CBD Update #2 - 2020-2021 Academic Year

By

Heather McDonald-Blumer

With September here, the DoM CBD Planning and Implementation group wanted to ensure that you were aware of some important reminders and upcoming dates.

1. EPA assessments that have not been submitted will expire after seven days with no automated reminder sent prior to expiration.

To view incomplete EPA assessments that have not expired, login to Elentra and click on Tasks & Results. Then click on Faculty and search for the faculty’s name. Click on View Assessment Tasks. In Current Tasks, click on Go to complete and submit the EPA.

Note that Program Administrators and Program Directors can reset the expiry date only once and add an additional seven days. To reset the expiry date, please email your Program Administrator.

2. PGME has begun their workshops for programs that will launch CBD in July 2021. A delegate from each of these programs is required to attend as it is important for CBD implementation. PGME will also host two Town Halls to inform all programs of any updates and provide a forum for feedback.

The workshop and Town Hall dates and times are listed below. Follow-up communications will be sent closer to each date by PGME with remote login details.

3. Embargoed Assessments are now available on Elentra. These assessments include Professional Behavioural Monitoring Forms and Note to File Forms.

They are meant to document any significant negative or positive information about a trainee and become a permanent part of the trainee’s record. Embargoed assessments are faculty-initiated but only viewable by Program Directors and Administrators, and they may only be released to other users at the discretion of the Program Director and/or Program Administrator.
