The DAC serves as an advisory committee to the Chair of the Department of Medicine for all matters concerning faculty appointments and junior promotion (from lecturer to assistant professor).
This is an excellent way for faculty members to engage in building the Department. The calibre of our academic appointments works to create our culture of excellence.
All interested faculty members are encouraged to apply. In particular, we have vacancies for clinician-teachers, clinicians in quality & Innovation, and clinician-scientists from Trillium, UHN, and Sinai Health System.
The DAC meets monthly, in person and via teleconference. Membership is in three-year terms, once renewable. DAC members are given one to one and half weeks to review assigned candidates and are asked to weigh in on other candidates during committee discussion.
