DOM Celebrates Pride

LGBTQ2S Think Tank

The Department of Medicine LGBTQ2S Think Tank is a grass roots group of Queer identifying group of faculty and resident physicians who are passionate about Diversity, Inclusion and Visibility within the department. We advise the Chair of the Department of Medicine and Equity Lead in the Department of Medicine on issues of importance to the LGBTQ2S+ communities and organize initiatives to advance the visibility, advocacy and inclusion of our communities within the department.

We are a growing network and are always looking for ambassadors, check out our home page to sign up!

We have Toronto Medicine Proud T-Shirts available for pick-up to wear at the upcoming Pride Parade. The T-shirts are first come, first served, and are available on the 3rd Floor DoM (Department of Medicine) at the David Naylor Building (6 Queen’s Park, entrance off of Queen’s Park). Please contact Janet Lee, to organize T-shirt pick up, Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Speaking of the Pride Parade! Please join us for the Ontario LGBTQ2S+ Doctors and Allies Pride March on June 26th/2022. We are a group of Queer doctors, students, friends, and allies - all are welcome. We are looking forward to marching again in person this year. We will be meeting up at 1:30PM at Bloor and Ted Rogers way. Our placement is C15 (though that might change closer to the time). If you are interested in joining us, email Dr. Kevin Imrie, and join our Facebook group.

Just a heads up that it it is a long and loud (but very fun) afternoon so bring water, sunscreen and snacks! Lastly, don’t forget to contact us to be placed on a secure mailing list where we will keep you informed of events and gatherings taking place this year:
